Bio: Jessie Brooks is a former one-time student of Smallville High. She and her father had originated from Metropolis, where her father had been employed as vice president of a company called HardCon. When he'd uncovered evidence of accounting fraud, he'd taken that evidence to authorities, and he and his daughter had subsequently been placed in witness protection. However, the two of them had fled, eventually making their way to Smallville to hide out. There, she'd enrolled in Smallville High, and on her first day, had managed to capture the eye of Clark Kent, just as he'd come into contact with red kryptonite. Unfortunately, her dad's former employer had offered U.S. Marshal Ted Palmer a million dollars for the evidence in her dad's possession, and Palmer had managed to track down Jessie and her father through calls she'd made to her ex-boyfriend Kyle. When Clark had learned about the money, he'd turned on Jessie, demanding she turn over the evidence. Jessie and her dad had wound up in a confrontation with both Clark and Palmer, with Jessie's dad shooting and killing Palmer. Later, once free from the red kryptonite, Clark had gone to check on Jessie, to find she and her dad had cleared out.
