Bio: Roy Rothman was a contractor from Central City, and a former convict. Following an incident at Club Zero in Metropolis in 1999, his sister Amanda had committed suicide. During the incident, Amanda's fiancé Jude Royce had been shot and killed, and Roy had believed Amanda's friend Lex to be responsible and that the loss of her fiancée had been what had prompted Amanda to take her own life. So, when Roy had stumbled upon Jude's doppelganger working in a diner, he'd hatched a plan to use the lookalike to avenge Amanda and Jude. For the first part of Roy's plan, Roy had gotten hired on as a contractor helping Lex convert the Talon movie theater into a coffee shop, while the lookalike had applied for a job there, giving his name as Jude Royce. Then, Roy and the lookalike had killed Max Kasitch, a bouncer involved in the incident at Club Zero, and had sent Lex Max's severed hand. Finally, the lookalike had kidnapped Lex, taking him to the former site of the club, before Roy had turned on the lookalike and killed him, revealing he'd been behind the scheme. He had then tried to force Lex into confessing to Jude's murder, only to learn that it was in fact Amanda who had shot and killed Jude.
