Bio: Lewis Lang had been born in 1957, presumably in Smallville, Kansas. In 1977, while in college, Lewis had worked the concession stand at the Talon movie theater, where he'd met and fallen in love with Laura Potter, two years his junior. The two had later married, but had separated sometime in 1984. In 1985, while he and Laura had been in the process of a divorce, Laura had started dating Hnery Small, a descendant of the town's founding family. However, Lewis and Laura had eventually reconciled, and shortly afterward, had learned that Laura was pregnant. In 1986, Luara had given birth to her and Henry's daughter Lana, though Lewis had been thought to be Lana's father. In 1989, he and Laura had gone to the Smallville High homecoming game, leaving three-year-old Lana to be looked after by Laura's sister Nell. After the game, a meteor shower had struck the town, killing him and Laura right in front of Lana and Nell. In 2005, thanks to a fear gas, Lana had hallucinated that everyone she'd ever loved was dead, including her parents, and that she was helpless to stop it. Then, in 2006, following a breakup with Clark Kent, Lana had gotten hooked on a flatlining drug that had allowed her to see her parents in the afterlife.
