Bio: Dr. MacIntyre is a physician at Smallville Medical Center. In early 2002, he'd treated a powerless Clark Kent for broken ribs following a confrontation with Eric Summers. He'd also treated James Beels and Jonathan Kent after they'd been exposed to the Nicodemus flower. Following Smallville being hit by tornadoes, he and Dr. Scanlan had treated Lionel Luthor for injuries sustained during the tornadoes, including a damaged optic nerve. Dr. Scanlan had insisted on operating on Lionel immediately, whereas Dr. MacIntyre had recommended waiting until Lionel's other injuries had healed. In the end, Lionel's son Lex had chosen to proceed with his father's operation. In early 2003, Lex Luthor and Dr. MacIntyre had found Dr. Helen Bryce in the hospital's pathology lab, having been severely beaten by her ex-boyfriend Paul Hayden. While Lex had run off after Paul, Dr. MacIntyre had immediately started tending to Dr. Bryce's injuries. In early 2004, he'd performed heart surgery on Jonathan Kent during a hostage situation involving Garrett Davis. In 2006, Dr. MacIntyre had treated Lex Luthor after he'd been attacked by an escaped Phantom Zone prisoner named Baern.
