Family: father, H. James Kwan
Bio: Danny Kwan is a former Air Force recruiter, and son of Smallville High's Principal Kwan. In 2001, while driving his father's car, Danny had been speeding around a corner, when he'd struck pedestrian Justin Gaines. Rather than stopping to render aid, he'd fled the scene, and his father had helped him cover it up, as he hadn't wanted it to afffect Danny's future. Then, in early 2002, Justin had learned that it had been Principal Kwan's car that had hit him, and had assumed Danny's father had been driving. By that time, Justin had lost the use of his hands, but had developed telekinesis to compensate for it. Using his newfound talent, Justin had crushed Principal Kwan with his own car, seemingly getting revenge for the hit-and-run. However, Clark Kent had realized that it had been Danny behind the wheel, and had convinced Danny to turn himself into authorities.
